Selling online without the monthly bill for features you never use.

An online shop earns its money at two moments: when the page loads, and when the customer reaches the checkout. Everything else is decoration. A shop that takes four seconds to show a product, or demands an account before it will take payment, loses sales you have already paid to attract.

I set up stores on Shopify where the monthly platform is worth what it costs, and build custom on Stripe where it is not — and you will get an honest answer about which side of that line you are on. Products get loaded, payments and delivery get configured and tested with real transactions, and the buying journey gets checked on a phone with one bar of signal, because that is where a good share of it happens.

What’s included

Starting from

£900

for a starter store

Best for

Businesses selling in person who want a second income stream online.

How it runs

  1. Products, payments, delivery

What you sell, how it is priced, how it reaches the customer, and what the postage rules genuinely need to be rather than what is easiest to build.

  2. The platform decision

Shopify or a custom Stripe build, with the cost of each spelled out over three years rather than one month.

  3. Build and load

The store built, your products loaded, and payment and delivery tested end to end with real transactions before anybody else sees it.

  4. Launch and training

You get shown how to add a product, refund an order and read the numbers, so running it day to day belongs to you.

Common questions

Shopify or a custom build?
Shopify if you want to run everything yourself and the monthly fee is small next to your margin. A custom Stripe build if the fees have grown faster than the shop, or the products do not fit the standard shape. The comparison gets done with your numbers before you commit to either.
Can I move an existing shop across?
Yes — products, customers and order history in most cases. Existing search rankings get preserved with redirects, which is the step most migrations skip and then regret.
What about VAT and payouts?
Configured and tested as part of the setup. What tax you should be charging is a question for your accountant rather than for me.
